The Ferenji Funderburks

Two weeks!

Posted in Uncategorized by janafunderburk on August 13, 2009

It’s difficult to believe that we leave in 14 days. I spent the morning caring for Ruthie and stuffing pillows into Space Bags. Both tasks were pretty fun. This weekend is a smorgasbord of going-away get-togethers–we are really looking forward to them. Which has led me to reflect on how many dear friends we have. Our roots go deep in this city…..that doesn’t, however, make it more difficult to leave. For me, anyway. Instead, we feel strengthened by our sweet community here, sent out by them, knowing they will think of us and pray. (Some may even come visit. hint, hint.)

These are a few lovely photos of Ruthie our friend Sara took on the Fourth of July. I like the diptych collages she made from her images.

The peek-a-boo diptych is lovely. The other is too, of course, but there’s something great about her covered, then uncovered face.
